Learning to Write Words and Sentences.
Weekly Spelling Tests. Simple Addition and Subtraction

Children need to be at school by 7:50am each and every morning. This gives both the student and the teacher the opportunity to do their best job possible in a learning environment.

Kindergarten Schedule
7:30-7:50 TV room pre-school side (be sure that your child has pottied before they come to school)
7:50 K children go to their classroom - hang up backbacks, etc.
8:10 Children are settled in - roll call, flag salute. The pencil monitor passes out pencil and crayon buckets to each desk and directions are given for the papers of the day. Review of alphabet, sounds, numbers and colors.
8:30 - 10:00 Class time
10:00 - 10:45 Recess
10:45 - 11:40 Second session of class includes finishing up unfinished papers and reading workbooks. When their work is completed, they may work on a puzzle, get a book, work with small manipulative games for reading and math readiness.
11:40 - 12:00 Alternate between music, flannel story, story book, class participation games, etc.
12:00 - 1:00 Lunch time
1:00 - 2:00 Recess time with both playgrounds going, reading, and arts and crafts. (Reading in groups of four children max. three times a week)
2:00 Return to classroom
2:00 - 2:30 Quiet time - potty and wash - get ready for quiet time
Channel 28, the learning channel for young children.
2:30 - 4:00 Rest time
4:00 - 4:50 Indoor: free play - 2 days a week, learning games - 2 days a week, Friday - movie
4:50 - 5:00 Clean up time - ready to go home
4:50 - 5:30 Move to the pre-school side - enter through the front door to pick up your child.
